Rain on the Way!!

We've had several days of beautiful fall weather,..but clouds are about to roll back in. We should feel humidity values begin to rise throughout the afternoon tomorrow as winds switch back around to the south-southeast.

Monday and Tuesday look to be a fairly significant rain event in the Deep South. Ample moisture in the western portion of the Gulf will get caught up with the subtropical jet coming from the Pacific Southwest. This flow of moisture has already caused significant wet weather in New Mexico and Texas.

Expect showers to begin Monday morning with the heaviest rain in the afternoon/evening. I have gone on the modest side with the amount of rain we may get. While some places may only get .5" inch of rain,...models are suggesting that some places will see 2-4 inches. The rain is much needed and the good thing is that the land is so dry, that it will take several inches of rain to cause any major flooding.
