Rocky Mountain Fun!

Upon entering the Rocky Mountain National Park, a beautiful meadow lying underneath towering mountains greets you...What an entrance:

John Walker and I take in the scenery:

I'm resting after a tough hike...The air up there is thin, it's easy to lose your breath!

Beautiful scenery:

Just because it's May doesn't mean there's not any snow. On parts of Trail Ridge Road, the snow was over 10 feet deep:

My pal Caleb Tucker poses for the camera. Very impressive scenery behind him:

Greetings from Colorado!

Here's the Alamo in San Antonio...Definitely a lot of history there! We also had a fun time along the big Riverwalk in San Antonio - a neat and unique shopping/eating experience.

Welcome to New Mexico!

Here's where we spent Monday night: Storrie Lake State Park near Las Vegas, New Mexico. It was a very scenic place, but the winds were quite strong - we put the tent up with sustained winds of 25-30 mph. Lots of fun!

After a long trek from our campsite at Storrie Lake, New Mexico, we finally arrived at our destination of Estes Park, Colorado. We plan to check out the Rocky Mountain National Park tomorrow, and we hope to do some horseback riding and whitewater rafting over the next couple of days...

I'll post more stories and pictures over the next few days...

Texas Adventures

* We've had a big time so far...We spent Saturday night in Vidor, Texas, catching up with some old friends. We took part in a crawfish boil, and a great time was had by all.

* From there, it was over to San Antonio. We toured the Alamo, and walked along the shops of the Riverwalk. A lot of fun.

* I'm a bit pressed for time - we have an ambitious travel agenda today. We're heading into northern New Mexico, to camp in the mountains. I will get some pics uploaded in the next couple of days.
