Quick Evening Update

* Just finished eating dinner. The chicken sandwich from Sonic is a very underrated culinary cuisine. But, I am getting off-topic.

* Watching thunderstorms continuing across northern Mississippi and northern Alabama. Severe thunderstorm warnings have been limited to northern Alabama, north of Birmingham.

* Thunderstorm risk will have to be watched for tomorrow afternoon along and south of I-20.

* Will post later tonight about mounting evidence of a cold snap to come!

Hey Joe...

It's a great program. I used the beta version of it when they were testing it out. Great detail, especially if your graphics card supports smoothing....

The data comes in VERY quickly. Another really neat feature is that as you move the mouse over an area, it gives you the latitude, longitude, and the approximate height of the radar beam at that location -- VERY cool stuff!

In short, I completely recommend it. In fact, I'll probably be purchasing it here very soon.

Thanks Joe!

PS Email me soon about talking weather...

Hi, love the new blog. I gives people more intersted in weather a lot more information. I like watching and going through severe weather. It can be dangerous but its fun to go through as long as no one gets hurt. Should be interesting to see what the weather ends up being like the beginning of march. Should we be worried about ice storms?

Hey Matt...

Thanks for the kind words! I love the blog too...It allows us to get into MUCH more detail than our standard 3 minute television broadcast!

As far as the first week of March goes, I sure get the idea we could have a fun situation setting up somewhere across the Southeast.

It's simply too far out to even start to speculate on WHAT or WHERE or HOW MUCH...But again, the general idea is a favorable pattern for winter weather. Am I saying its going to snow? No. But, keep an eye on things for sure...
