Boone County, Nebraska - over 1000 miles from here.

Not in Mississippi.

Not in Alabama.

Different part of the world, different severe weather forecasting. No one ever said you can't have severe weather with dewpoints below 60. It's just a benchmark value that we like to use for surface based severe convection and the potential to produce tornadoes. It works well HERE.

If you have something constructive to add, feel free. If not, find a new blog to read. Or, e-mail me personally and we can discuss this issue that is so obviously near to your heart. My e-mail is josh.johnson@wtok.com.
