Severe Weather Update - 2PM

* Some impressive thunderstorms continue across western Mississippi. The NWS, via Instant Messaging, tells us that that nickel to quarter size hail is covering the ground in Redwood. Redwood is just north of Vicksburg. Some of these storms have caused the NWS to issue tornado warnings...We still believe our tornado threat is fairly small - most storms will be elevated, or rooted above the surface.

* A Severe Thunderstorm Watch continues in effect for most of our area until 6:00 pm. Large hail is the main threat with any of the severe storms we see.
