Been a Long Time Since We Rock and Rolled...
* Yes, you LED ZEPPELIN fans will recognize those words...Great song.* But, music taste aside, it HAS been a long time since I've posted much. I was on vacation last week, and this week - there just hasn't been much happening. Certainly nothing as exciting as the severe thunderstorms we saw late last week into the weekend. It's hard to write something just for the sake of writing...And, I didn't have much more to add other than what was posted on the main WTOK Weather page.
* Getting closer and closer to ending the hot and humid grind. I know we should take each day as a blessing, but sometimes I do look ahead on the calendar to those Fall months...I wish we could hit "fast forward" to a nice crisp Saturday, highs in the 60's, with all our favorite college football teams getting ready to tee it up! Throw some ribs or chicken on the grill, and that's as close to heaven as we'll see in this world!
* Watching the tropics...Tropical Storm Irene is moving away from land and will not threaten the U.S. The remnants of Tropical Depression 10 continue to try and get better organized. The Hurricane Hunters have a flight scheduled tomorrow to investigate the system's potential for development.
