The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm watch for roughly the northern half of the area, along and north of the row of counties that US Highway 80 passes through...In our area, it includes these counties:
MS
Scott
Newton
Lauderdale
Leake
Neshoba
Kemper
Winston
Noxubee
AL
Sumter
Greene
Marengo
Pickens
Hale
The primary threat within these storms will be large hail, due to the very cold air aloft.
